Well maybe not that dramatic but it’s been so long since all the heavyweights were in the ring at the same time I thought I would embellish just a little.
The game doesn’t start nearly on time. The crowd slowly shuffles in, the Rapper is punctual as always, Alejandro then Ace, with the Captain that makes4 and the cards are in the air. Not too much longer Nice guy Eddie shows up and then Ontario and the Mouth, wow almost a full table, been a while since this happened.
The game is fairly discreet for the first little while with the Captain building up a sizable treasure chest with monster cards and better flops which he does not relinquish for the rest of the night.
The Mouth complains to the press about the re-runs in syndication right now and it’s pointed out to him by the producers that you need to show up for filming if you expect to see yourself on the show.
Nice guy Eddie plays the usual roller coaster game, up and down in wild thrilling swings, all chump change though after his recent big score at the $40,000 guaranteed at Fill Tilt Poker, I guess some of the crew can actually play the game once and a while it seems.
Hands are not that memorable, with the exception of Nice Guy Eddie call a huge bet from Woody after he arrives to hit a pair of threes and felt Woody. With Woody’s late arrival that leaves only one of the apostles missing.
Ontario gets felted when his KQ runs into the A6 of the Captain on a 66K board and he spends half the night grilling the Captain on how he made the first call. Guess we need to play a bit more as some of us have forgotten who all the players are.
Midnight and in walks J6. The quickening is complete.
Full table, well almost. The Mouth stormed past J6 on the way in after his all in was called three way and he’s felted again.
The Captain is the winner on the evening with a couple minor winners and losers here and there to back him up.
The good news is that is seems the crew can finally get a game together again. Will see if this can continue through to next week.
